Ollie is a Composer, Producer and Director based in Manchester, UK. As artistic director of Imaginality Productions he is creating new stage musicals which champion stories and artists with links to the North.
His roster of theatre projects currently in development includes "Mallory And The Mountain," a stage musical based on the life of George Mallory's quest to conquer Mount Everest. It has received previews at Manchester’s Hope Mill Theatre and The Lowry, and featured at BEAM 2023 Festival at Oxford Playhouse. A concert version took to the main stage at Storyhouse, Chester in October 2024.
December 2022 saw the premiere of WW2 Drama "Realms Of Glory" at Manchester's 53two, the second collaboration with Rachel Mann, following 2015's "The Tree Of War," produced with support from Manchester City Council. Ollie returned to 53two in December 2023 to write and produce "Bear Left," a heartwarming Christmas comedy, with a festive, folk-pop score and celebrity guests at each performance.
As a composer and conductor, his work has appeared on TV, in regional theatre, concerts and numerous online platforms; with choral arrangements being performed globally.
October 2024 saw USA premieres for two shorts scored by Ollie, Filter (Drama, Newport Beach Film Festival) and Not All Those Who Wander (Documentary, San Francisco Short Film Festival).
Ollie studied at The University of York. As a member of Mercury Musical Developments, Ollie has honed his craft in a masterclass with Claude-Michel Schönberg (Les Misérables). As a freelance musical director, Ollie leads choirs and tutors at Manchester School Of Theatre, Rose Bruford College and The Arden School Of Theatre.
